Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Parse service operated by ConversionTools ("we", "us", "our"), including our website at parse.conversiontools.io and our API (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Parse is an AI-powered document data extraction API. The Service allows you to upload documents and receive structured data extracted from those documents via our API. We offer both free and paid subscription plans with varying usage limits.

3. Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Upload documents containing malware or malicious content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to process documents you do not have the right to process
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
  • Exceed rate limits or circumvent usage restrictions

5. API Usage

Access to our API is governed by your subscription plan. Each plan has specific limits on the number of pages you can process per month, maximum file sizes, and number of schemas.

  • API keys are personal and must not be shared publicly
  • You are responsible for securing your API keys
  • We may revoke API keys that are found to be compromised or misused
  • Exceeding your plan limits will result in API requests being rejected until your usage resets

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers (Stripe and/or Paddle).

  • Prices are listed on our website and may be subject to change with notice
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion
  • Downgrading your plan takes effect at the end of the current billing period

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the data extracted from them. We do not claim ownership of your content.

The Service itself, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is the intellectual property of ConversionTools and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConversionTools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of data extraction results and recommend verifying extracted data for critical use cases.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ConversionTools is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
